Supporting your children with Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG)
Spelling
Children at Queenswell Junior School will cover the requirements under the National Curriculum for spelling.
Spelling at Queenswell is taught using the No Nonsense spelling scheme, which teaches children a variety of strategies to attempt and to learn to spell words as well as common rules for spelling.
You may be told by your child’s teacher that your child needs extra practice learning the spellings of high frequency words – the first 100 and 200 high frequency words can be found below.
